Mountains Institute of Technology Canada (MITC), which celebrated its 7th anniversary in early 2004, is the one of the most influential private institutions of higher learning and vocational training in Canada. MITC has now an annual enrollment of over thousands of Canadian and international students, and the number grows steadily, if not dramatically. It has two locations in the GTA - the MITC Markham Campus, located in the Steeles and Warden area of Markham, and the MITC Downtown Toronto Office. Each has a unique character that is shaped by its location, program mix, student body, size and campus activities. Over three dozens of professors, instructors, engineers and other professionals from different fields and ethnic backgrounds work at MITC.
